Alyssa Milano is a gift that keeps giving

Actress Alyssa Milano can’t stop outdoing herself in the hypocrisy stakes.

This time she took to demanding the Washington Redskins ditch the name because of offence it causes Native communities.

Never mind that Milano lent her name to “Touch by Alyssa Milano” which includes photos of her wearing Washington Redskins shirts.

If only she knew that a in May 2016, the heavily left-leaning WaPo released a poll targeted at self-identified Native Americans which produced the same results as the Annenberg poll of 2004. That is over 90% of the respondents were “not bothered” by the Redskins name.

Happy Friday.

WaPo admits bounty on US soldiers evidence sketchy and needed confirmation but ran with it anyway

Opinion | This is how democracy dies — in full view of a public ...

The mainstream media has been foaming at the mouth hoping that Trump knew about intelligence that said that Russians were paying bounties to insurgents in Afghanistan for killing US and coalition troops. Social media ran with a #TRE45ON hashtag. They so wanted it to be true. Anything to prevent his reelection. Smear, slime, lie.

It turns out that WaPo has been forced to admit that the information was deemed sketchy and in need of additional confirmation. But hey, let’s run with it anyway!

The NY Times was equally complicit. It was running stories of slain soldiers in Afghanistan in an attempt to smear the president. These journalists have absolutely no morals or ethics. Use dead soldiers to push uncorroborated evidence to feed a narrative.

Shameless. WaPo’s “Democracy dies in darkness” and The NY Times “All the news that fit to print” mottos are perhaps the most inaccurate descriptors imaginable.

As we like to say, journalistic integrity will only return when the mainstream media loves America more than they hate Trump.

Another WaPo fact check blows up in its face

You have to hand it to the left. The Washington Post decided to challenge the claim made by President Trump that the cities where all of the violent crime was happening were Democrat-controlled.

True to form the left-leaning newspaper wrote, “It’s not clear how Trump is defining “most dangerous” in this context. So let’s look at two related sets of data compiled by the FBI: most violent crime and most violent crime per capita…The most recent data to that effect is from the FBI’s Uniform Crime Report covering the first half of 2019. The cities with the most violent crimes are many of the most populous cities in the country, as you might expect. Those with the highest rates of violent crime are from a range of different states.”

The stats came out as in the chart. In overall terms, 17 of the top 20 cities with violent crime were Democrat-controlled, 2 were independent and 1 Republican.

In terms of per 10,000 inhabitants, 19 out of 20 were Democrat-controlled with one independent run.

Technically a lie, but the correlation is striking.

WaPo has a coming to God moment

One could be easily forgiven for thinking this was the Babylon Bee. Nope. It’s WaPo.

WaPo wrote,

The country faces an election of choices as clear as any we have had in modern times, with clear consequences as well.

Vote for President Trump and you are voting for the Constitution, military strength and robust economic growth.

Vote for former vice president Joe Biden and you are voting for bureaucrats, appeasement abroad, and economic entropy….

…Trump is chaos theory contained in a man, an explosive combination of complete candor as to what he thinks and feels, a willingness to brawl, an almost animal energy for the fray.

Biden is clearly not that. He is mostly invisible these days, but he hasn’t just lost a step. He’s lost a lap. His White House would be marked by echo-chamber enthusiasts and the control of the appointees he brings along with him, a haphazard and dangerous step for the republic…

Nothing has worked to slow Trump down, so now it must be racial politics, the scourge of the nation put not to the service of justice for the poor, who Trump had served quite well with good jobs until the Chinese Communist Party lied about a deadly virus unleashed on the world and upended the blue-collar boom. That boom is returning. It would once again lift all communities.

For WaPo to be publishing this type of article shows how exposure to sunlight can cure Trump Derangement Syndrome.

As we keep reminding our readers. The Democrats are simply not making a strong case as a credible alternative to Trump, especially the behaviour of Democrat state governors and mayors during COVID19 and their empty virtue signalling, weakness and radical responses to the ‘protest anything under the banner of BLM‘ movements.

Even we Aussies can tell that the majority of Americans are patriots when push comes to shove.

Never forget that “lived experience” is a powerful force. We don’t think Trump’s first 3.5 years will be forgotten at the polling booth. Outside of all his bluster, vulgarity and unorthodox style, he’s made a lot of headway.

We have often said that journalistic integrity will only return when the mainstream media loves America more than it hates Trump. How long till the rest of WaPo channels Hugh Hewitt?

Prepare to be mesmerized with Jedi mind tricks

This is a very interesting BBC HardTalk interview with China’s Ambassador to the UK, Liu Xiaoming. He not only insists that coronavirus didn’t come from China but suggests that it was merely discovered in Wuhan. In his view, there has been no cover-up and China is as big a victim of the pandemic as any.

We have to hand it to Ambassador Liu for being so polished in his responses. No flinching. No discomfort. Perfect poker face. Exceptional media training. Imagine how many more senior Chinese officials are out there pouring honey into the ears of global politicians.

Democracy dies in darkness indeed

democracy dies in darkness

The Washington Post’s motto is “Democracy Dies in Darkness.” How classic that the newspaper editors allowed the first headline before the spectacular backfire that caused them to adjust it to the one on the right.

The opinion piece noted, “The current process is clearly flawed, but what would be better? … A better primary system would empower elites to bargain and make decisions, instructed by voters.

At least the paper’s true colours came out that regular voters mustn’t have the requisite intelligence to make such important decisions that highly educated liberal elites obviously do. Way to go!

Maybe WaPo should change the masthead to “Sunlight is the best disinfectant“.

WaPo wins prize for consistency

Gotta love journalists who stick to their core beliefs. WaPo’s Jennifer Rubin was all about Iowa mattering until it didn’t when her own team so badly stuffed up the vote count. As ever with the Left, it’s the side that matters, not the principle.
