Trump is 100% correct with this Exec Order against Twitter et al

While the mainstream media will howl in protest, Trump has made it very clear to social media companies with this executive order – YOU DECIDE.

Trump is merely saying is that if these companies wish to keep a liability shield in place, they need to abide by the neutrality of the service provision which was always the spirit of the law. They flaunted it and now opened a Pandora’s Box all by themselves.

Simply put, Twitter, Google, Facebook and others were getting away with murder. Censorship by its very nature dictates pushing political and social views on others. What a wonderful loophole it was to push political agendas with zero legal repercussions.

Google was busted after a video featuring senior management discussing plans after the 2016 election went viral. There is such chronic bias as much as they plead innocence. Ask yourself why your phone seems to populate ads on your webpages based on searches?

Twitter has censored more conservatives than we can list. To Twitter, it is not the principle but the side that matters.

Ultimately Trump has told them they are at liberty to run their businesses how they choose. Unfortunately, if they go down the path they have freely chosen they live by the new rules which are completely appropriate.

POTUS is 100% correct but watch the mainstream media meltdown. Zuckerberg, at the very least, gets it. Dorsey is too Trump deranged to know better. Trump also added that the government would be pulling the billions of dollars it gives social media platforms now that they want to actively push their own agenda.

Once again – the message is “YOU DECIDE”

Twitter took a knife to a gunfight

What did Twitter expect? The only reason the social media platform stuck a CNN fact check after Trump’s tweet regarding mail-in ballots was to give him a bloody nose. Nothing more. President Trump is known for his embellishments on most posts. What was new? It is his style.

In any event, as we mentioned yesterday, Twitter strayed from being an impartial (we use that expression lightly) social media platform to an overt media network with deep-seated political bias.

Twitter picked a fight purely of its own volition and chose to exercise that on the worst possible target. It poked a bear thinking the cage was locked.

To date, these social media platforms have been able to avoid lawsuits related to what their users post.

The suggestion is that Trump will make an executive order which would allow the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) under section 230 of the Communications Decency Act to allow people to seek remedy through the courts.

Given the blatant bias exhibited by these social media giants, this proposed amendment to the legislation would protect free speech, not curtail it.

The left will howl at the injustice and brand Trump a tyrant. What else is new? Little do they realize that in order to enshrine free speech, all views must be given an equal voice, even those they disagree with.

Twitter has long had this coming. 100% self inflicted wound.

Never carry a knife to a gunfight.

Way to go, Joe! If you vote for Trump, “you ain’t black”

Joe Biden just keeps the gaffes going.

On Friday morning the former VP said, that if black Americans are unsure whether to support him over Trump in the November 2020 election, “then you ain’t black.

Such is the scourge of identity politics within the ranks of the Democrats that Biden is not the only one to think that minorities aren’t entitled to individual thought. Democrat Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley (of The Squad) infamously said during the Trump “shith*le country” saga,

We don’t need any more brown faces that don’t want to be a brown voice. We don’t need black faces that don’t want to be a black voice. We don’t need Muslims that don’t want to be a Muslim voice. We don’t need queers that don’t want to be a queer voice.

How quickly The Squad (AOC, Pressley, Tlaib and Omar) denounced America’s treatment of minorities when it was that very system that enabled them to attain public office at the highest level.

Essentially, they hold on to the tenet of telling constituents to shut up and conform to the stereotype of their minority status so it can be exploited. Funny how the supposedly racist Trump has done more for black Americans in economic and employment terms before the pandemic than any Democrat preceding him.

Biden, Pressley and other like them behave like the very racists they condemn.

Biden later apologized on a call with the Black Chamber of Commerce, “I should not have been so cavalier. I’ve never, never, ever taken the African-American community for granted…I shouldn’t have been such a wise guy.”

Chicago Mayor berates her constituents

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot lambasted her constituents for violating stay at home orders and threatened them with arrest, fines and jail time during the COVID19 pandemic.

We particularly found her “we are never getting out of this” and “we are watching you [on social media]”comments galling.

Could it just be that South Dakotans behaved better because their governor treated them as adults and asked them to exercise common sense? Or are Chicagoans fed up with being lectured to like children when their leader doesn’t practice what she preaches?

You be the judge.

Admittedly she was criticizing those hosting, organizing and attending parties during the pandemic.

Unfortunately, Democrat leaders have shown a lot of hypocrisy during the crisis.

NYC Mayor Bill De Blasio justified his visit to the gym with, “‘I need exercise to be able to stay healthy and make decisions

Former FLOTUS Michelle Obama implored people to stay home for their own good just days after her husband was spotted on the links in DC.

Lightfoot has ordered people to stay home unless for essential services which excludes hairdressing. Yet she followed her peers and had no qualms visiting a hair salon.

The Mayor’s excuse was, “I’m the public face of this city. I’m on national media and I’m out in the public eye.”

Maybe when Chicagoans see their mayor indulge in double standards their own sense of fear dissipates? So much for “leading by example!

Why are 28,000 US COVID19 deaths overreported?

We are curious as to why the US Government’s official Centre for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) records only 37,308 COVID19 deaths as of April 25th-end when Johns Hopkins University (JHU) reports over 65,000…that is a c.75% difference.

CDC explained its methodology as follows,

The provisional counts for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) deaths are based on a current flow of mortality data in the National Vital Statistics System (NVSS). National provisional counts include deaths occurring within the 50 states and the District of Columbia that have been received and coded as of the date specified. It is important to note that it can take several weeks for death records to be submitted to National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), processed, coded, and tabulated.

In short, the data recorded is that of the official cause of death plugged into the national database.

JHU reports its data gathering as follows:

Johns Hopkins experts are aggregating data from multiple credible sources to track the spread of COVID-19…

…The tracking map’s data powers a number of external research and visualization efforts by prominent media organizations such as CNN, The New York Times, The Guardian, and the Associated Press [all media organizations with an axe to grind]. But its data is also used by smaller organizations, such as Blauer’s data team at the Centers for Civic Impact (CCI).”

Interestingly, the CCI, which was newly instituted at JHU, tried to explain the discrepancy.

Obtaining accurate and timely data about the spread of the virus has become an unexpected challenge in the United States. While the federal government has traditionally been the most authoritative source for national public health data, this has proved not to be the case with the coronavirus pandemic. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the nation’s official source for public health surveillance data, has not kept its site updated with information available through state and local health departments.

Even if we accept that the official CDC data is delayed by up to two weeks, we are surprised the figures are out by a factor of 28,000 deaths or almost 75%. Will the data JHU gleans from state and local health departments differ to those eventually supplied to the NCHS for publishing by the CDC?

Perhaps we should be a little suspicious of CCI’s noble quest for data when it published a piece which expressed the following statement:

Aggregating information from dozens of sources is challenging and time-consuming, so volunteer projects have stepped in to fill the gap. One major backbone of this effort has been the COVID Tracking Project. Started by two journalists from The Atlantic and a data scientist from Related Sciences, the COVID Tracking Project scrapes data directly from state public health websites so that its numbers are constantly current.”

Volunteers? Journalists from The Atlantic, an unhinged left-leaning newspaper which makes Pravda look like the Volkischer Beobachter? Why is a reputable university relying on such sources? Who validates and peer reviews that data to ensure accuracy? Are the volunteers activists? All valid questions.

To be honest, as a data driven group, FNF Media does not see data collection across 50 states as that time consuming. Much of it is in CSV format making it easy to download.

At the conclusion of the pandemic the numbers should show little variance. We watch with interest to see the final audit. Perhaps we can start with JHU’s current 65,000 number and wait another 2 weeks for CDC to publish the official figures and see just how (in)accurate the numbers are.

No wonder the media has a field day on the data which paints a scarier picture. They might source JHU but not disclose the volunteers that compile it.

It’s just hard to reconcile how a university which has $6 billion in annual revenues can’t divert resources to conduct the research in house?!

Bill Maher bashes MSM for ‘panic porn’ obsession surrounding COVID19

Liberal media host Bill Maher made another sensible 5-minute video which bashes up the mainstream media for its obsession with ‘panic porn’, ridiculous alarmism and confected hysteria.

Maher’s best line was to call out The NY Times for using a North Hollywood event planner to get a quote for a headline which described unemployment as “terrifying.”
