We’ve been saying for years, were it not for the incompetence of previous administrations including Obama, Trump would never have seen the light of day. They gave birth to his presidency. Period.

We hope Mrs Obama is recovering from her “low grade depression” caused by her husband.

Sydney Trains proves gender discrimination is OK in the public sector

This morning we heard the acting head of Sydney Trains, Suzanna Holden, talk about hiring more women train drivers into the service. The job posting specified “women only.”

After much warranted criticism, the job advert will remove that wording. Let’s make it clear, the intention will remain absolutely unchanged. Male applicants will be discriminated against. Presumably because they aren’t “safety-minded women.

If Holden was true to her Sydney Trains mission statement she would focus on reliability, safety and service over pushing gender politics. Because all passengers truly care about is a reliable and safe service regardless who sits isolated in the train driver seat. What next? Does Sydney Trains require more transgender train driver representation?

If this was the private sector, the company would be fined, excoriated and people forced to resign for such blatant discrimination. It is against the labour laws. Period.

Yet Holden spoke at length about the importance of diversity claiming she was the first female to run the trains in 165 years. Why is that even relevant? Surely her skills should be the only determinant of that position, not her genitalia.

With such discriminatory attitudes she has proven herself already to be totally unfit for the role.

For more government based discrimination, please see our study on the Australian Defence Force. The data shows that trying harder to push women into the forces have had the opposite of intended effect.

As is so often the case with those obsessed with identity politics, their cure to stopping discrimination is to introduce policies that absolutely guarantee it remains. Even worse they can’t see the double standard.

Do people want to defund the police?

Yet another example of law enforcement serving the community. This time police were reviving a baby that had choked. Presumably, if the baby was choking and there were no police because of defunding, one imagines the outcome could have been much worse.

Coming for the other Colonials?

Now that the leftist mobs have gone after the Colonial Brewing Co for its name, how will it deal with an Indian restaurant in Neutral Bay that is named ‘The Colonial‘?

(We have been. The food is fantastic.)

Will it be deemed as triggering or will the fact it is run by Indians give them a free pass from the hypocritical apparatchiks? Where do they draw the line if those who were supposedly oppressed by Her Majesty freely choose to use the name to depict a time period for the theme of a restaurant?

Don’t laugh because the PR department at Colonial First State must be frantically zoom meeting to discuss being the next heretic in line. Should it be targeted for use of the name when it promotes superannuation products? Will it need to issue a public apology stating it doesn’t condone violence and ledge support for BLM? Do any of its customers really care about anything more than returns for their retirement and portfolio mix? Had they given it a second’s thought they’d have already shifted that super money to another fund.

Perhaps the Commonwealth Bank should consider a name change as surely someone can make an argument that the name idolizes all that was bad about the British empire and its history of subjugation and oppression of minorities over the centuries.

The madness won’t stop until we push back.
