200% voter turnout in two wards in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

While the election looks to be a foregone conclusion for Biden, evidence has surfaced as to the ridiculously lax controls in places like Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The most striking feature of the data is a fact that cries out for clarification: in seven wards, voter turnout appears to have exceeded 100 percent.  In two of those wards, turnout exceeded 200 percent.  In another 15 wards, voter turnout exceeded 95 percent.  Joe Biden carried 21 of the 22 wards of the 95-plus-percent wards.  But then again, he carried all but one of the 67 additional wards in which the turnout was above 90 percent and won 80 percent of the vote citywide.

In 25 wards, Biden received 97 percent or more of the vote, none higher than 98 percent.  Based on exit polls, it is highly likely that these were overwhelmingly black districts.  No other demographic could produce those numbers.”

One suspects that Democratic operatives could not afford a repeat of Philadelphia 2012, when Barack Obama received 100 percent of the votes in 59 voting districts.

Barack Obama outscored Romney by a combined 19,605 to 0 votes cast in these 59 districts.  Fidel Castro never did this well.  That said, not a single major media outlet followed up on the Philadelphia story.

Then one wonders why US elections end up in court…

Perspectives from a reader

When these millionaires go home having boycotted the game they were contractually obligated to play, I hope the consequences of their choices affect only them. Not, say, the ball boy, or the janitor who might get paid by the hour, and who now has to go home much earlier.

Thanks Jon Jon. We agree with your view. It is always eye rolling to see people who are clearly not suffering from systemic racism or bigotry feel obliged to virtue signal that they stand with the supposedly ‘oppressed’ when so many have not chosen to be active in the very communities they claim to be making a statement in support of. It is too easy to picture then returning home in fancy European sports cars to lounge in $50,000 sofas watching Netflix.

Hypocrites. Although there is an irony to think fewer people are watching these sports because of the ever increasing political portions shoved in consumers’ faces, the very thing they’re paying to avoid.

A message from Bernie Sanders’ field officer

We very much doubt Bernie Sanders would endorse what his field officer said. Perhaps his staffer is just disgruntled that Bernie cut his hours

Harley-Davidson announced Q1 figures which saw its US based unit sales (c 50% of group) fall 12% with global sales down 7.2% YoY. Highlights:

Revenue up 2.7% despite 9.7% lower shipments

Gross margin 34.7%, down 1.0 pt.

SG&A up

Restructuring charge of $46.8 million

Operating margin of 12.7%, down 5.1 pts.

Harley reported 243,000 units in 2017 (-6.7% on 2016) and it is shooting for mid 230,000s for 2018. This despite some stunning new models. The problem with a divine franchise is that complacency kills. The competition is much fiercer and the prices of its bikes are for the better heeled who seem to be cooling them
