Don’t mess with old people

I know I shouldn’t have done this, but I am 83 years old and I was in the McDonald’s drive-through this morning and the young lady behind me leaned on her horn and started mouthing something because I was taking too long to place my order. So when I got to the first window I paid for her order along with my own. The cashier must have told her what I’d done, because as we moved up she leaned out her window and waved to me and mouthed “Thank you.”, obviously embarrassed that I had repaid her rudeness with kindness. When I got to the second window I showed them both receipts and took her food too. Now she has to go back to the end of the queue and start all over again,

Don’t blow your horn at old people, they have been around a long time.🤣😂🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️🍔🍟☕️

Peaceful protestors attack a Ronald McDonald House with sick kids inside

All class. Rioters decided that terrorizing sick kids and their families inside a Ronald McDonald House in Chicago was a thing.

Lisa Mitchell of Ronald McDonald House Charities said staff were “frightened” and families were put under “additional stress and worry” over fears that they wouldn’t be able to get to the nearby Lurie Children’s Hospital if necessary.

We hope karma is swift for these ‘peaceful protestors.’ Utter bastards with zero morals.

Did the Big Mac find himself between the wrong buns?

As the old adage goes, “Don’t dip the pen in the company ink.”

McDonalds’ CEO Steve Easterbrook has been let go as the company CEO after it was discovered he was having a consensual relationship with another employee. Apparently, he violated company policy of executives dating subordinates. Easterbrook was a recently divorced man. Rules are rules, but do two consenting adults deserve to be punished by what they decide to do in their private lives? Far more elegant ways of dealing with such issues rather. Perhaps get his partner’s opinion? Will she be sacked?

What of the statistics?

According to Forbes,

“58% of employees have engaged in a romantic relationship with a colleague. A surprising 72% of those over 50 years old have been romantically involved with a coworker.”

“Almost half (41%) of employees don’t know their company’s policy regarding office romances.”

“Although 19% of employees admitted to stepping out on their partner with a colleague at work, a surprising 44% of employees have known colleagues who had affairs at work or on business trips.”

“most of those employees (64%) who had participated in an office romance kept it secret, and only 16% were comfortable enough to tell everyone including their superiors about their relationship.”

“18% of employees reported that they had a random hookup with a coworker.”

“Almost three in four (72%) would participate in an office romance again if given the chance.”

No doubt Maccas was looking to ensure it made a stand against possible #metoo cases against it. Best just ban it in its view…

The flip side was a recent survey since the #metoo movement that found,

This is what happened when feminist activism hit the workplace. It had the opposite of the intended effect.

Leanin.org has found in a survey it conducted that since the #MeToo movement took hold, 60% of male managers said they are now uncomfortable interacting with women at work – up 32% from 2018. Workplace interactions that men have become nervous about include mentoring, socializing and having one-on-one meetings with women.

Senior men who were also surveyed were 9x more likely to hesitate to travel with a woman and 6x less likely to have a work dinner with women.

Lean In’s founder and Facebook’s chief operating officer, Sheryl Sandburg said,

The problem is that even before this, women – and especially women of colour – do not get the same amount of mentoring as men, which means we’re not getting an equal seat at the table, and, you know, it’s not enough to not harass us. You need to not ignore us either.

Men are not ignoring you. Sadly when men can (and have) lose (lost) careers for unsubstantiated claims against them by women forgive them if they feel intimidated.

Who could have predicted this? Now it is men’s fault for not reading feminist minds on how they must act. Sandberg has an answer for that too,

“If there’s a man out there who doesn’t want to have a work dinner with a woman, my message is simple: Don’t have one with a man. Group lunches for everyone. Make it explicit, make it thoughtful, make it equal…Men need to step up. We need to redefine what it means to be a good guy at work.”

Maybe just let adults be adults instead of nanny-state intervention? How many people do you know that have ended up in a committed relationship from a workplace encounter? Bill Gates married one of his execs. Should he be retroactively punished for his galavanting with Melinda?

Recall the AFL bosses sacked for consensual affairs with staff. Not one of the parties every claimed there was harassment or any coercion.

Now Queensland Premier Anastacia Palasczcuk is demanding her ministers don’t drink at official functions. Seriously? Take serial offenders aside and address any poor behaviour but stop the nonsense about treating all of the adults like pre-pubescent kids.

Time for society to grow up and drop the control freakery of individual privacy.

XR Co-Leader hitches a free car ride to GMB studio

Wow, Extinction Rebellion (XR) is a gift that keeps giving. XR Co-Leader Skeena Rathor went on Good Morning Britain (GMB) and revealed the complete hypocrisy of the movement. None moreso than admitting to catching a lift to the studio in a car arranged by GMB. XR followers are clowns. Rathor couldn’t answer even the most simple questions but rattled off all of the garbage claims of societal collapse, food shortages and a dire future for kids, including not being able to feed them. She even invited other guests to talk to their “scientists.

If XR keep up media appearances it only assures its extinction. So CM implores XR to keep it up.

CM forgot to mention in Dion Lights interview with Andrew Neil, her claim that the scientists who compiled the latest IPCC research paper was flawed because they are focused on pre-industrial era data…hmmm…even though she broadly supported the 99% consensus of the IPCC report…so which is it? Just not alarmist enough. Noone with half a brain would ever believe that billions are at risk of dying in the next few decades.

We shouldn’t forget that yesterday, a blind paralympian, James Brown, decided to climb atop a British Airways plane at London City Airport. Despite the danger he put himself and other airport security officials, the judiciary should hand out a sentence ensure that he is charged with the total costs borne by British Airways shareholders and the airport for the inconvenience caused. Being a blind paralympian shouldn’t grant any special treatment of sympathy.

F’king hell mate

Follow the data, people. Apologies for the amount of climate change related posts of late. It is the climate alarmist silly season. The video above shows how easy it is to manipulate mindsets. Good to see that our PM Scott Morrison was thinking about smart drive-thrus. After all, as we showed, kids love McDonald’s ahead of climate strikes so merging technologies and fast food should connect the next generation. Uber should be looking to develop their rideshare app to go via fast-food chains. ScoMo has his finger on the pulse.

Atlassian billionaire Mike Cannon-Brookes doesn’t agree although he did reveal what an expensive Bellevue Hill private boy school education does for teaching how to respect the highest public office in Australia. ScoMo was dead right not to attend a summit where the organizers deliberately banned those from coal-related nations from speaking whilst demanding their cash. No need to join a summit where most of the attendees are from nations with high levels of corruption and have a sole purpose to cash in on the guilt of weak-willed western nations.

Maybe MC-B should reflect on what the UN summit does to cause children to meltdown thanks to irresponsible adults feeding them with unfounded scaremongering. That is where the anger should have been placed in that room. Who needs to show up? Then again behaving like children is a bit of a theme at climate summits. Profanity too.

Being a successful software developer doesn’t always extend to being an axe in other fields. CM also made reference to why MC-B should be supporting the Minerals Council of Austalia as so much of his business actually relies on it.

School Climate Strikers demand McDonalds

Good to see that kids are still kids. Before demanding we selfish adults take climate action immediately, they obviously need to fuel up on McDonalds, a brand that represents the complete anti Christ of their cause. Dipping nuggets into plastic BBQ sauce bowls, eating from cardboard hamburger boxes and drinking from single use waxed paper cups and plastic straws all stuck in a disposable paper bag.

Tells us all we need to know. The saddest thing is these kids are blissfully unaware of their own hypocrisy.

It is more likely that a McDonalds diet will kill them way before Mother Nature does.

Chick-Fil-A becomes 3rd largest fast food chain

Despite progressives trying to boycott the Chick-fil-A food chain because the Southern Baptist COO Dan Cathy publicly opposed same-sex-marriage, American consumers have turned it into the 3rd largest fast-food chain after McDonalds and Starbucks. Store numbers have doubled and revenues tripled over the last decade.

Chick-fil-A states it’s mission is, “To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us. To have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A.”

Chick-fil-A is notable by its closure on Sundays, Thanksgiving and Christmas. So people are well aware ofthis corporate backing its religious beliefs.

CM has always rejected corporates pushing political and societal agendas. To that end they live and die by the sword. In Gillette’s case it was forced towrite down the long term value of the brand due to its toxic masculinity campaign driven by virtue signaling. In Chick-fil-A’s case it seems that customers think the product offering has always been backed by true beliefs from its inception. It’s a big difference.

Some may argue CM is making a doublestandard. Wrong. Chick-fil-A was founded form the beginning on its core beliefs. It was on the menu (pun intended).Gillette on the other hand thought trying to tell customers to be mindful about their toxic masculinity from a position of sponsoring a racing car series with its logo emblazoned across the backsides or super models was not. They thought being woke would win business. In fact it cost them a bundle.

Truth be told, most people probably just want a chicken sandwich and Chick-fil-A don’t ram religious beliefs on their burger wrappers.Gillette’s customers probably just want to shave without being told they shouldn’t be men.

Not what you think

In the age of identity politics this hiring advert from McDonalds Sweden is on the money.

The fine print says “We hire individuals. We don’t care what your surname is. Because ambition and determination have nothing to do with your nationality.”

Good on McDonalds for bucking the insidious virtue signaling that pervades so many corporates today.

WaPo hunting for Whoppers

Has the Washington Post taken leave of its senses? Was It a matter of national emergency or interest to report on whether the $2,437.11 hamburger bill personally paid by Trump to host the Clemson Tigers champions at the White House required to be fact checked? Not exactly a light news day. No progress in the shutdown, Brexit failure etc

No, such is the level of Trump Derangement Syndrome that the fabled “Democracy Dies in Darkness” newspaper showed its own incredible pettiness. To give an idea of how insane the reporting was, WaPo fact checked Trump’s claim that there were 1,000 burgers stacked a mile high. “FACT CHECK: at 2 inches each one thousand burgers wouldn’t reach 1 mile high.” Have the editors heard or ‘figure of speech’?

CM must be dreaming? Do the editors at the WaPo honestly think it’s erudite elitist readers will be amazed at the President telling another porkie? Will it become a topic at dinner tables? Overs trivial $2,500 of his own dime. For all of Trump’s faults, this paper clearly shows it has little or no ability to be objective.

Stupidity lives in sunlight.
