The real reason Newsweek fired Kwong over Trump’s Thanksgiving

While Newsweek wants to sound magnanimous for firing Jessica Kwong over her article suggesting that Trump would probably just play golf and tweet over Thanksgiving she claims that the editors asked her to pen the story a week in advance. Pity the poor angel for not having access to Trump’s itinerary ahead of flying into a hot zone. CM guesses if her Twitter following was 706,200 instead of 7,062 she would still have a job at Newsweek.

Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is rife in the mainstream media. So pitiful was Newsweek’s lame apology that it stuffed it down the bottom of the revised article. Kwong was mere cannon fodder so the magazine would look like it was taking proper action.

Assuming she doesn’t suffer from TDS, maybe Fox News or a conservative media outlet can snap her up. She claimed it was an honest mistake and to repost her original tweet with a picture of Trump in Afghanistan was at the very least eating a slice of humble pie. For that, she probably has more credibility than the entire editorial staff at Newsweek combined.

News reports, “Australians are becoming increasing worried about climate, with their concern on the issue doubling since 2018…Researchers for the latest Mapping Social Cohesion Report asked Australians to name their biggest concern off the top of their heads, with 19 per cent saying climate change.”

From the Mapping Social Cohesion report of 2017, “Environmental issues have declined from a peak of 18% in 2011 to 7% in 2017, close to the level of the previous
four years.

So essentially the above search took CM less than a minute. Effectively depending on the start point, we are near as makes no difference the same as we were in 2011 in our views on climate change. If the media outlet wanted CM to do their sensationalism for them they technically could have run a “near trebling from 2017” headline.

Typical media clickbait but we’ve proved they aren’t even any good at it. Hopeless alarmists.

Impeachment hearings haven’t swung voters

Rasmussen Reports notes overnight that

Forty-five percent (45%) still believe the president will be reelected in 2020, basically unchanged in surveys over the past year. Twenty-six percent (26%) say he will be defeated by the Democratic nominee, but this finding has been trending down from 33% in late July to 28% two months ago.”

“…Meanwhile, 46% of voters think the House hearing should be expanded to look at the involvement of Biden and his son Hunter in Ukrainian political affairs. Forty-three percent (43%) disagree, while 11% are undecided.”

CM has often said the best way to destroy Trump is to starve him from media oxygen. Yet the mainstream networks and newspapers give him non-stop 24-7 coverage meaning that he gets all this free publicity on a loop. Feeding off the Trump Derangement Syndrome, the media publishes ever more hysteria over trivial matters (e.g. spelling mistakes on Twitter) that just turn the audiences off and makes them look stupid.
