The sheer stupidity of the self-entitled generation

Incredible that these Trump Derangement Syndrome sufferers think it appropriate to fly the Trump balloon during D-Day commemorations. This millennial numbskull must have no clue of history if she can draw an equivalence of defeating concocted fascism in 2019 vs the 50,000,000 that died as a result of trying to prevent it.

The left is so unhinged. These activists might profess to know more than WWII veterans about facism as it is staring at them in the mirror every morning but what disrespect to suggest their clueless self entitled lives, afforded by the very sacrifices of these brave veterans, could understand what they endured. CM wrote about ‘Staring at the dictator‘ last year.

So much for leading by example.

Perhaps reading some letters from CM’s grandfather who articulated the realities of war from the frontline.

TOBRUK – 1941

We were wakened by the drone of Italian bombers which have a distinctive note and easily recognizable at night…we heard 1/2 dozen explosions & wondered what they would be bombing…about 30 minutes later we got a message to go immediately to the prisoner of war compound as they had been bombed…

…it was a most ghastly sight imaginable. The prisoners without blankets were huddled together for warmth and had lit fires and their own planes had dropped big 500lb bombs…

…there were bits of bodies everywhere, like a slaughterhouse – brains, livers, arms, trunks. I couldn’t describe it. The bombs landed right into the huddled mass of prisoners & blown them to pieces. The doctors and the boys worked like Trojans doing amputations in the field. Arms and legs were put in a stack like a wood heap and to make it worse some desert dogs were having a feast on the remains. On of our blokes was doing an Italian, who had his arm just hanging by a bit of tissue, hacked the arm off with a jack knife. When he returned a bloody dog had the arm in his mouth. And was streaking over the hill when an MP shot it with his revolver. We worked all that day and through the night & done around 300 operations on the spot. Near one bomb crater we shoveled bits and pieces in the hole and covered it in…it is not so much the shrapnel but the concussion that does the damage”

CRETE -1941

”we were in an olive grove with wounded men under every tree before we got word to get going and they gave us hell here, the guns tipped toward the men under the trees and straked is with machine guns. I nearly took a soilly here. I heard a plane roaring down & looking up saw a Messerschmitt 109 diving straight for me. You should have seen me move. I dived for the nearest tree and just got there before he opened up with his machine guns (6 of them, 3 in each wing).  The chatter of them was deafening as he flew as low as 100ft from me, the b———-d…any man on Crete who never prayed was a bloody liar…

…anyway I had the job of getting 300 walking wounded to the beach which was 45 miles away (they told us 7)…what a march keeping our movement secret & taking cover by day and moving only at night…the hours of daylight would drive you crazy…a road was being done over by Junkers 87s and heard Jerries trench mortars landing very close so I said to Kev & Bill “let’s go” daylight or not I was moving. Bill told me he’d had enough and couldn’t stand it any longer then I noticed for the first time he was bomb happy (shell shock) his head was  nodding nineteen to the dozen, eyes staring and hands shaking…

…water was scarce. My mouth like blotting paper and we were in rotten condition until we came across a bombed truck so we drank the radiator water (rust, oil and all). It was like nectar…I never thought hunger was so crook…I couldn’t keep my mind off food, even dreamt of it and of the crusts I’d wasted (Kev admitted the same)

NEW GUINEA – 1942

Meanwhile Private Jenkins was sent through by jeep to act as a guide…however about 50yds from the corner; a sustained burst of MG fire whistled around us which was tragically funny as I looked behind to see the boys moving up the track. After the burst I dived for cover in the tall Kumai grass and when I looked back there wasn’t a man to be seen because when I dived they all dived too. We stayed about 1/4 hour and I decided I couldn’t stay all day so I decided to risk it and make a dash for it…a man every two minutes…without mock heroics my knees were knocking as I got to my feet and darted 200 yards long and expected to get one in the guts at any moment…

…to my sorrow around the corner we came across poor George Jenkins who had been the guide- shot-our first casualty and we’d only been in the place 5 minutes and a sniper had got him. The bullet had plowed through his scalp from ear to eye and his face was a mess. Poor bugger. All he was worrying about was that he wasn’t able to tell us about the snipers and was we alright? I slipped a shell dressing on his skull and carried him back – lucky bugger he’ll go home now…

…this bloody war is a terrible mental strain. You can get shot anywhere with snipers (who never live more than two hours anyway after they’ve climbed the trees) because our boys comb the branches with Brens and they dangle like rabbits from their perch). I’ve lost about 2 stone since I’ve been in action here. It’s tough believe me….

….as we were coming back (it was dark) I am in front treading safely- a stick cracks and we prop, listen and sneak on. When I tripped over a wire stretched across the path I went cold with terror – a booby trap…I flopped to Mother Earth waiting for the explosion – which never materialized. Quickly as possible we moved on fearing a delayed action grenade…the trouble with the front line is that it is so fluid that they are everywhere…

Another letter from New Guinea

Are we giving the Japanese fighting boys a belting!!…yesterday when our 25 pounders started up behind us was it accurate? I’ll say. The Japanese scattered in all directions squealing like girls were blown to shred..they hate our mortars. You can hear them quite plainly in the bush screaming and squealing like animals when our mortars lob on them and as they bunch together like sheep and don’t disperse it’s like shooting clay pigeons…

...I’m not exaggerating when I tell you the fighting is going on at a 20 yard range yet you can’t see them and they can’t see us. A patrol will he on the track and meet a patrol of Japanese suddenly 5 yards away. It’s a case of whose quicker on the draw. Our boys have really got Nippon beat at this game they seem dull witted and before they wake up, our blokes have generally riddled them…

…I’m applying for a recommendation for decoration for two of my blokes – Nicol and Lennar to the OC as they’ve done a marvelous job. Hope they click although honestly every man in the show deserves one

Lest we forget.

Dictator with term limits

While no one can doubt that Trump polarizes opinion, do his detractors honestly think they will win the debate by mowing a giant phallus into a lawn? Will this attempt to (literally) take the moral low ground somehow swing those who hold different opinions?

If the dictator moniker were true he would be the world’s most incompetent executor of such an office. Sadly Trump has between 1.5 and 5.5 years (likely the latter) to remain as DOTUS. Instead of 99% of the population voting for him like a Xi Jinping, Kim Jong-un or Hitler, Trump will likely garner around half. If Americans truly wanted a real dictator they would be better off voting for someone who could get 99%. Sadly democracies don’t operate like that.

The Queen, who long remembers the 80 year relationship which preserved her monarchy, knows that after Trump leaves office, the UK will still continue to have a strong bond with America. Her Majesty won’t resort to petty snubs of its head of state because she feels the need to kowtow to the intolerant mindsets of a few.

Will Americans want to see politicians like Shadow Foreign Secretary Emily Thornberry show such conditional support for American democracy? Did she call for protests when the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia visited? A man with pretty questionable actions regarding journalists in embassies. No she did not.

There are far more effective ways to show courtesy to visiting dignitaries. As CM mentioned yesterday, Trump’s tweets are unstatesmanlike. It doesn’t make Thornberry or Khan’s any better.

Perhaps the Queen is sending the world a message about “the long game.” She probably knows a thing or two about diplomacy as the world’s longest serving monarch. Her state dinner invitation list is the perfect representation of who she feels needs prioritization. What an embarrassment that the UK government did not extend the invite in the first place.

God save our Queen!

Ted Lieu smears Owens as a supporter of Hitler but refuses right of reply

So true to form, Democrat House Rep from California Ted Lieu, tried to smear Candace Owens as a supporter of Hitler with an edited recording which took all context away from the question she was being asked of her.

Such was the circus, Lieu provided Owens no right of reply. It took another member of Congress to yield their time so she could answer.

More embarrassing was Chairman Jerry Nadler (D) incorrectly censuring her for calling Lieu “stupid” when in fact she questioned whether Rep Lieu “thought black people were stupid and would not pursue the full clip in its entirety.” She quipped it was OK for them to call her “despicable

So desperate are the Democrats looking to paint narratives of division that they only need to stare in the mirror to see where it is coming from. How could Lieu make the claim that he knew nothing about Owens yet managed to have an edited recording?

Even if his team supplied it, it would have made sense for the Rep to do his homework on the subject matter save him getting slapped down by the eloquence of Owens. She was right to call his refusal to allow a reply as telling as to she was to criticize him for being “unbelievably dishonest“.

Maybe Lieu might reflect on hate crime as reported by the FBI in his own community.

Anti-Asian hate crime has fallen from a peak of 527 in 1996 to 131 in 2017. In 2017, Asians were 0.00069% likely to suffer a hate crime relative to the Asian American population.

Lenny lectures on the ladies

There is no question there are/have been some disastrous male leaders in politics – in no particular order – The North Korean Kims, Stalin, Mao, Hitler, Amin, Saddam, Juncker, Chamberlain, Rudd, Turnbull, Hoxha, Trudeau, Obama, Carter, Bush Jr, Yeltsin, Erdogan, Chavez, Maduro, Macron and so on. Many would be well within their rights to demand Trump be included too. It’s all subjective of course. The list above will undoubtedly trigger some complaint.

However does Lenny Kravitz honestly believe that genitalia is the key determinant for success in world leadership? Or is this a cynical virtue signaling hijack of a well publicized cause (International Women’s Day) which might help resurrect dwindling industry-wide revenue in a music streaming world? Then again Lenny has first hand experience in letting it all hang out to get media attention when his wardrobe failure exposed his Prince Albert in 2015.

Did Lenny forget Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff was given a 12 year sentence for money laundering and corruption? Or former South Korean President Park Gyun-hye who was locked away for 24 years for her abuse of power, coercion and bribery? Former Ukrainian PM Yulia Tymoshenko received a 7 years jail term for embezzlement. Elena Ceausescu was executed by the Romanian Armed Forces for heinous crimes against her people.

Let’s not go near the toxic trail of disaster left behind Hillary Clinton. Is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s $93 trillion Green New Deal thought bubble the type of leadership the world is craving? Do we want the shoot from the hip without facts style of Nancy Pelosi, Kamala Harris or Maxine Waters? Or does Lenny think we should channel the moral high ground calibre of Ilhan Omar or Rashida Tlaib to run international diplomacy?

This is not to cast aspersions on the huge number of successful and capable women that exist in world politics. Do we really think the following women want constituents to judge them on the basis of gender or hope they look to their track records first and foremost?

Exhibit A – former US Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley. Sign CM up. She is intelligent, strong, articulate and just happens to be a woman. CM sincerely hopes she runs for POTUS. She’d be fantastic.

Exhibit B – Australian Senator Linda Reynolds. She gave an incredibly powerful speech about lived experience with respect to people smuggling. Principled and earnest. Just happens to be female.

Exhibit C – Former Canadian Interim Opposition Leader Rona Ambrose regularly tore strips off Justin Trudeau through reasoned logic and sensible argument. Just happens to have XX chromosomes.

Exhibit D – Australian Labor Party Senator Kimberley Kitching appears another impressive politician. CM shares little in the way of political ideology with her but once again she appears intelligent, measured and confident in her own skin.

We could go on and on.

On the other hand CM wonders what is this obsession with gender and identity taking a premium to merit and ability?

In the upcoming federal election in Australia the parties are chest-beating about their relative diversity. Parties preselect candidates on their ability to win seats. No point putting up women (or men for that matter) on the ticket on the basis of their gender if the talents won’t garner a tick at the polling booth.

Social media is likely to lavish praise on Lenny Kravitz for being so ‘woke’. Best check his ranking on iTunes next week to see if his little stunt paid real dividends thanks to a bump of “Always on the run” downloads.

Maybe our Lenny needs to play the Eurythmics and Aretha Franklin tune, “Sisters are doing it for themselves“, on a loop. They believed they could stand on their own two feet back in 1985. Far easier in 2019 to do so.

Millennials & Socialism

Politics, Historical figures, CIS, Graph, education, millenials, familiarity with dictators.

How well do millennials know their tyrants? A CIS study in Australia showed that 58% of millennials had a favourable view of socialism. Unfortunately 51% did not know who Chairman Mao was. Another 32% did not know Stalin and 42% hadn’t heard of Lenin. If we combine with “know but not familiar” with “don’t know” we see almost 80%, 66% and 74% respectively. Oh how wonderful to learn in school about three men whose social policies led to the deaths of 10s of millions.

If their teachers won’t tell them, perhaps experience will need to give the test first and the lesson afterwards. There is a touch of irony that university degree holding millennials have the highest respect for socialism.

Cheers

Honouring a hero  – Lt. Norman Martin Peterson was born this day in 1914. Larrakin, ladies man, comedian who enjoyed his long necks. Here is a poem he wrote during his time on Crete during his service in the Field Ambulance. He’d  probably be court-martialed in today’s Aussie Defence Force for his prose.

Who will get the Nobel Peace Prize for helping end the Korean War – Kim, Moon & Xi or Trump?

AABD5B18-73D0-42FD-8A03-6942C0B2EBA5

Will President Donald Trump be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for getting Kim & Moon to the peace table? It is unlikely in so far as the Norwegian Nobel Committee would fear the full weight of international opinion (aka mainstream media) for doing so. Surely they wouldn’t risk making a mockery of such a coveted award? Then again a one Barack Obama was handed one less than 9 months into his first term on the stated basis of a noble quest for the Holy Grail of world peace rather than anything actually achieved. In 2016 alone, the Obama administration dropped 26,171 bombs on enemies. Not bad for a serial appeaser. A Nobel prize has even been awarded to a multi billion dollar embezzling terrorist of a self appointed authority, so Kim Jong-un is in with a shot.

Will Trump receive any credit (even without a Nobel) for pushing ‘Rocketman/The Fat Kid’ to the negotiating table? Probably not. How come no other administrations were able to achieve something that was relatively easier when the state of the North’s arsenal was considerably less lethal? Kim threatened Guam less than half a year ago. Trump didn’t back down and the North Korean dictator clearly realized from Twitter that the most powerful man in the world wasn’t all bluster. President Xi may well have played a solid hand in pushing Kim to sue for peace negotiations. In the interests of President-for-life Xi, his foe Trump has a maximum 7 years left to meddle. If Korea gets a peace deal, Xi can play hardball on the peninsula if a softer President enters the White House thereafter. Then he can take a stab at Taiwan. Xi can afford to wait.

We should not forget that Kim Jong-Un travelled to China on his first ‘overseas’ visit earlier this year. Best get the approval of a real dictator before progressing. Kim was there to get Beijing’s blessing to ensure North Korean sovereignty come what may so as to maintain the desired geographical buffer to pro-US nations.

Noone said peace isn’t desirable. The question is what price must one pay to get it? There are too many incidents in the past where signing peace treaties with dictatorial regimes have ended in disaster. Hitler/Chamberlain (Munich Agreement), Hitler/Stalin (Pact of Steel), Putin/Merkel/Macron (suggestion of UN in Ukraine), Le Duc Tho/Kissinger (Paris Peace Accords over Vietnam), Xerxes II/Leonidas (Greece) etc.

Will part of the denuclearization ‘deal’ call upon a withdrawal of US Forces from the Korean Peninsula? Would the US go for that? Highly unlikely. Would Moon be so gullible as to suggest a (slow) withdrawal? Of course he has the right to demand a foreign garrison pack up and go home. Trump may have pushed China and NK to act but he’d prefer the status quo than to roll over and vacate the premises. China wins in either scenario. America certainly doesn’t want to pay for the same real estate twice. Some quarters in South Korea must surely want the US military to stay as an insurance policy. Afterall how can one trust someone who comes from a dynasty that kills its own people and assassinates family members? Worryingly Moon looks to have a certain ring of Chamberlain about him.

It was clear that North Korea was dictating the moves at the Winter Olympics. It was South Korea who funded the $3mn in travel costs for the cheer squad. Anything that looked to mock the North Koreans was swiftly dealt with. It spoke volumes about which Korea was calling the shots. Anyone impersonating any other world leader could do so with reckless aplomb. Anything resembling Kim Jong-un  was quickly removed from sight. Tyrannies rarely do humour and sadly not enough democracies defend it. Still it is hardly an encouraging sign for even handed peace talks when one side looks to appease in this way.

Kim Jong-un is smart enough to realize at such a youthful stage in his life that he probably has another 40-50 years left in him. Reunification only works if he is given sanctuary. Idi Amin saw the beauty of a life in exile in Saudi Arabia. If Kim Jong-un can relax in Sichuan Province it maybe a dignified way out. One can bet his ‘some are more equal than others’ inner sanctum would rather the two stay separated. They would stand to lose way more than Kim.  It would be ridiculous to assume that Kim could be a major cog driving a reunification process with such an abysmal human rights record. Name a despot who would willing cede authoritarian rule much less without a deal which would exonerate him from any international criminal court that he would be held accountable for under a functioning democracy?

The South Koreans have had a think tank in Berlin researching the effect of reunification in Germany. The former West is still heavily subsidizing the former East. Depopulation (-15% between 1989 & 2013), unemployment rates (higher today that 1989) and inferior GDP per capita (27% less) are all a feature of the former communist state vs the federal republic over the last three decades.

How easily could South Korea absorb the North? West Germany had a population of 63mn in 1989 vs 16mn in East Germany or 4:1. South Korea has 53mn vs North Korea’s 24mn or 2:1. West Germany had a 2.3x GDP/capita ratio to the East in 1989. South Korea has a 52x GDP/capita ratio to the North. Reunification for Korea isn’t an apples to apples comparison with Germany. While Samsung might relish the prospects of tapping a cheap labour pool to build washing machines, the South would likely face far higher integration costs than the Germans. Even 30 years ago East Germany had a GDP/capita 17x that of North Korea.

In any event the only sure outcome of peace on the Korea Peninsula is that President Trump will get next to zero credit in the media. Wailing about the reckless diplomacy of an unhinged dictator will be the main with a few conceding it was at best a fluke.

Staring at the dictator

IMG_0207.JPG

I read an FT article today and questioned why I paid $300 for a subscription. The author, most certainly Jewish, wrote about how we should remember our recent history when it comes to Trump. As someone descending from the same faith I find the moral equivalence irrational and irresponsible. It all stems back to the victimhood culture which is at the very root of what divides. When President Trump simply enacted the identical policy of vetting seven countries selected by President Obama the outrage showed the height of double standards. Is it a pleasant topic? No. Still had Obama done it how they would have cheered his bravery and leadership. Almost 60% of Americans polled by Rasmussen approved of Trump’s vetting process. Period.Yet media reports nothing but tired narrative.

During the election campaign, the majority of group thinkers totally dismissed Trump as a credible candidate. He was very open about his policies and made no politically correct overtones. He was crass, brutal and direct. No mincing of words. In the three debates he made exactly the same statements. The public was well forewarned. Had people who were gravely concerned of a Hitler-esque dictator potentially ruining their lives taken their own constitutional rights responsibly they could have easily got to a polling booth and voted to guarantee Hillary Clinton romped home. They didn’t. They have themselves to blame. Instead they ranted about the popular vote which is irrelevant because everybody knows it is decided by the electoral college system. Then they tried to force a recount and when that failed they tried to coerce those in charge of the voting in the electoral college to see reason and vote against their constituents wishes. However not once did they accept that they were 100% responsible for their own fate. What arrogance to try to force some sort of intellectual superiority over these bigoted white fools. However these supposed white bigoted fools were not swayed by propaganda. At the very least they were getting sick and tired of the liberal left constantly throwing barbs at them. If you call someone an idiot to their face long enough they will shut down and reply to your inability to listen at the ballot box. You are still not listening though.

To turn the argument on its head, had these same people not fallen for the type of propaganda concocted by their own biased mainstream media and understood the underlying issues really affecting heartland America they may have paid attention to Trump’s spot on the money analysis. Instead they stuck to the narrative churned out by the White House echo chamber that the great chief Obama helped put 15 million ( a dubious figure) back to work post the ‘Great Recession’ ignoring the fact that he also added 10 million (+33%) more Americans to the poverty lines. Was it all his fault? No. Did he have obstruction in Congress? To a degree. However we must not forget that Obama was responsible for passing more pieces and pages of regulation than any president in history. Obama also used executive orders with regularity. Suffice to say had his ‘legacy’ been so pitch perfect, the same bigoted white voters that twice put him in power had the opportunity of continuing it in the form of Hillary Clinton who offered the status quo. However among the 48 million Americans now on food stamps a growing number realized Obama was a failed experiment. He highlighted that career politicians were no different regardless of partisan politics. That under his leadership, America became even more divided. Even the hard line Farrakhan launched an explosive speech about how Obama had totally let down his people. Yet there was Obama at an African-American black tie dinner reprimanding the audience that if they didn’t vote for Hillary they’d insult his legacy. When I heard that the first thing that came to mind was the fact he was insulting them for it was indeed they in large part who supported him in the first place. A debt of gratitude might have been far more appropriate.

I’ll be the first to admit that President Trump is unconventional which at the same time can be unsettling for many. However he has done nothing but enact upon very publicly announced election promises in very short order. Yet, the victimology goes on. The irresponsible mainstream media that has learnt nothing went out of their way to paint an ‘anti-Muslim’ narrative which was not written in the executive order had many even bothered to properly read the document. Trump the Nazi they protested. However if people actually knew their history, the Nazis made best efforts to stop Jews, Gypsies and Roma from ‘exiting’ not ‘entering’. Think of the Warsaw ghetto in the1940s. The Final Solution was much to do with concentrating these populations in order to commit mass genocide. I have visited Dachau, Sachsenhausen, Bergen Belsen, Theresienstadt, Treblinka, Majdanek, Sobibor, Auschwitz-Birkenau and I’ve read extensively on that period because my own family escaped Poland in 1931 to flee anti-Semitic sentiment. I have wept at the photo of 5yo Renia Kohn (pictured below) who was exterminated at Birkenau. I have tried for over a decade to trace the genealogy of my great grand-mother whose surname, Immergluck, is the same as two of the survivors of Schindler’s List. They came from the same town in Poland. So many records were destroyed given 90% of Polish Jews were murdered so it is personal, make no mistake. Making links to dictatorship and oppression is something that I take great interest in refuting without proper evidence.

IMG_0200.JPG

It is a deep sense of wanting to understand my own history. I have even read Mein Kampf cover to cover to get inside what drove Hitler’s megalomania. Trump has nothing of the mindset although the disrespectful media is now running a narrative that his hair growth tonic has mental disorder as a side effect. Seriously, people wish to read such ridiculous click bait? How can people put any faith in anything published by WaPo, NY Times and CNN with any level of authority especially given the abysmal track record in the lead up to the election.

Here is the bigger problem. The ones complaining of a dictatorship are the ones creating this toxic environment. For publicly beating up people who wear Trump hats. Even if these people are on the fringe. Why do these people wear masks? Own your protest because hiding behind a mask means you actually know you are doing wrong. Burning flags? Why do they destroy Starbucks stores when the CEO is on their side of victim based identity politics? Isn’t that an own goal? The problem with the liberal regressive left is that they have no capacity to listen. If you do not fit their narrative you are a bigot, racist or white trash. They seldom if ever open themselves up to alternative views.

To make that point, Nancy Pelosi exposed the pathetic level of the agenda at the time of the immigration executive order. She was caught on a hot-mic saying to a Democrat congressman Andre Carson “tell them you are a Muslim. Tell them you are a Muslim.” Had Carson thought personally as a Muslim that it was relevant to the discussion and his personal grief, surely he would have raised it unsolicited. That Pelosi had to goad him proves how hard regressives have to push an agenda which is the reason why Trump is in office. A growing number of Americans have got tired of identity politics. They want jobs and a sustainable future not spend countless hours debating transgender bathrooms, non-gender military titles and being forced to surrender their culture to somehow attain some sense of state-sponsored acceptance. If we keep pushing the “poor me” line on every issue we’ll get nowhere.

It is the growing numbers of impoverished that want their country turned around. They fear that open borders and boundless refugee intakes cut those odds. It is NOT racist or bigoted. The responsibility of any sovereign nation is to look after its citizens first. Period. If Canada wants to talk about “diversity is our strength” then all power to them. Yet the day after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he’d take anyone rejected in the US into Canada, a lone-wolf shot up a mosque in Quebec. The media’s first hook – Trump supporter, the insinuation that he was a fair representation of the majority not the minority. Disgusting. What a smear. He isn’t even American so he is not legally allowed to vote (are you listening sanctuary cities?) so whether he likes Trump or Le Pen is completely irrelevant. I think Trudeau is the epitome of identity politics but he was democratically voted in by Canadians and I am happy to accept that fact. My opinion of Trudeau is irrelevant.

However when Trump berated my Prime Minister Turnbull, my opinion does matter. I believe Trump was correct. When our Obama fawning selfie obsessed Turnbull decided to cut a deal on refugees with him a week after Trump won the election that was plain stupid. He knew full well that Trump would never have allowed it under normal circumstances so undermining a future leader with the self belief he’d carry the weight of world opinion was poor judgement.

Additionally Obama’s last months in office highlighted his true colours. Things he could have easily achieved in his 8 years in office were rushed through in some kind of bucket list to stifle Trump. How unpatriotic. I doubt George W Bush tried in his last days to stuff Obama. What did Obama do? Did the deal with Turnbull, threw Israel under a bus and signed a check for $211mn dollars for Palestine. While you can argue he still was the president at the time, there is no excuse for laying landmines in the White House lawn to humiliate your successor. I was always taught that how you leave a job is far more important than how you join. I believe his legacy is a mere fraction of what he is praised for but his last days were built on spite, Watching him on comedy TV programs during the election campaign showed his total arrogance, patting himself on the back at every turn. His loss was not just because Clinton had been selected by the DNC as the chosen one, it was a repudiation of his failures to restore America.

Some people are complaining at Trump’s heavy handed treatment of Attorney General Sally Yates. What she did was insubordination. It is irrelevant what her political views were. Trump was not breaking laws. Her job is to follow the boss says on a legal basis not inject her personal feelings. Sacking her was 100% correct. If he’d broken the law then I’d be sympathetic. As he wasn’t she got served. Had she defied Obama we wouldn’t have heard the end of it. Such is the nature of identity politics that the side matters more than the principle.

The same goes for public websites and Twitter feeds sponsored by the tax-payer. The employees of these government agencies may hold personal opinions that conflict with the President but it is not a violation of free-speech for him to ban them venting on taxpayer funded media. If you think it is then I implore you to send a company wide email telling your boss that his policies are stupid and see how long your last. Insubordination and free speech are different,

Back to the immigration ban. Celebrities and protesters ganged up on Uber for offering a freeze on surge pricing to help their customers alleviate the stress of delays at JFK. Instead of allowing a company to exercise sensible commercial business practice, protesters and celebrities (who most likely ride in private limos) launched a #deleteuber campaign. For what? A company chooses not to get involved in your affairs and you choose to punish them. How regressive is that. Such is the level of hatred and bloody-mindedness, Uber’s CEO has stepped down from Trump’s business council. Even evangelical Elon Musk who is on the same board has had a wave of customers cancel Tesla Model 3 orders because they object to him serving his country. Instead of regressives looking at such an appointment as a way to perhaps bring Trump to a more even keel, they put so much pressure on Uber’s CEO that he resigned for the sake of his stakeholders. How conditional are liberals for love of country? Ask yourself who is causing division?  Companies can’t act commercially for fear of being attacked? Sorry who is behaving in a fascist fashion? What about 1st in SEO CEO’s brash statement of asking his staff divulge whether they voted for Trump and to resign if they did, not to mention demanding the same from their customers. What has voting preference have to do with ability? Nothing yet the regressive left prove their intolerance.

Then the same type of people light fires and beat people unconscious for wanting to listen to a speech by Milo Yiannopoulos, They call an outwardly gay white man with a black boyfriend a white supremacist, Get real. He is a provocateur for sure but he does often make lucid points worth making albeit done in a poison tongue fashion. Yet because he doesn’t tow the victimology playbook he is vilified as a hate-preacher. Hello?

So while I read reams of social media posts about Trump and co’s Nazism I say take a long deep look at reality and stop the over-dramatization. It isn’t just Trump. Brits got tired of the incompetence of the EU and feared a future of having to kowtow to a supranational body of unelected officials. Brits weren’t racist or bigoted. They sent a message that politicians need to wake up and take care of problems at home before searching for noble misguided causes to cover up domestic issues. The guy and girl on Main St aren’t stupid. They’re hurting and tired of having rosy stats thrown in their face when they’re living harsh reality all the while those who espouse stats are chewing on $100 steaks.

The regressives must wake up and understand the very people they proclaim to protect aren’t listening anymore. They are tired of hand outs and freebies. They are sick of protests and the inconveniences caused by it. They want a future again. They want to live in a manner which doesn’t cause panic at the end of the month when the overdraft arrives. Make America Great Again wasn’t a catchy slogan but a deep down desire for a growing number of Americans to feel proud of their nation once again. So grow up and stop your victim culture at every turn. Judge Trump on his merits. Stop dividing your country and actually see what Trump is trying to do. The guy is a billionaire. Saying he is just pandering to his billionaire mates is a lame attack. Look at Clinton or Obama and their advisories had stacks of Wall Streeters. Look how many Dems voted against cheaper drugs coming from Canada because they had their snouts in Big Pharma’s trough.

I honestly think for all the bravado and noise behind Trump the biggest flattery to his ego would be to succeed in turning his country around. Nothing would give his Twitter fingers more joy than to succeed legitimately and have his fellow country men and women actually credit him with it, You’ll never get that from the mainstream media but be prepared for a second term if his health holds out. Of course the media will tell you its impossible but why put stock in their predictions when they have such a terrible track record on understanding voters. By the way your protests and demonstrations are actually pissing off the very people you think you’re representing and your dictatorial style is exactly what you accuse Trump of. On second thoughts don’t look at yourselves in the mirror. Your inability to change is exactly why he’ll win a second term. Keep up the good work! You’ve earned it!
