No one should be seeking to exploit the loss of George Floyd at the hands of inexcusable police brutality. Sadly, the #GeorgeFloyd demonstrations have been brazenly hijacked by a growing number of anarchists assisted by willing accomplices in the media to fan the flames of sedition. As Hillary Clinton said, “never let a good crisis go to waste!”
Let’s not forget that the majority of Americans were united against what transpired. Yet the first thing the press seized on was to promote the idea of division.
Yes, in certain pockets of society systemic racism exists in America. It shouldn’t but it does. No amount of kneeling or social media virtue signaling can convince those who have hate in their hearts to change. Burning down buildings only hardens their beliefs.
We found a curious documentary several years ago about Daryl Davis, a black man who befriended the KKK. Davis found that listening to them was all that was required. He has caused many to hand in their robes. There is reason why god gave us two ears and one mouth – so we listen more and talk less. We encourage you to watch the full episode. It is eye opening.
Unfortunately, as we pointed out a few days ago, the statistics simply do not bear a deepening rift in race relations to be the case.
We also note the benevolent actions of so many citizens during the crisis who have flatly rejected the doctored sentiment preached by the journalistic corps. Armed militia have felt compelled to guard stores across the country to prevent more livelihoods succumbing to senseless acts of sponsored depravity in their neighbourhoods. Desiree Barnes tore strips off looters in New York for the damage done to her community by those who haven’t the first clue what impact their actions have had.
We see these as more accurate representations of the mood of the majority of average Americans than mindless clickbait journalists and Twitterati deliberately try to ignore.
Economist and social theorist, Thomas Sowell once said,
“Activism is a way for useless people to feel important, even if the consequences of their activism are counterproductive for those they claim to be helping and damaging to the fabric of society as a whole.”
We posted a video of Washington DC resident Nestride Yumga who took on hundreds of Black Lives Matter (BLM) protestors for rank hypocrisy because they don’t attempt to raise awareness for the 191 homicides in Chicago so far this year.
We noted that BLM have been silent over the death of 77yo African American David Dorn, a retired Louisville Police captain, was killed by a rioter defending a pawnshop over a TV.
David McAtee was a 53-year-old African American man known for providing free meals to police officers who stopped by his restaurant was killed in a shoot out he was not a part of. Where was BLM?
Yet BLM activists have been happy to target white liberals putting black squares on their social media avatars.
FNF Media is no fan of slacktivism, the idea that moral preening on social media is enough to make one worthy. In the end, the cause ends up all about themselves – upping evidence of keyboard commitment to ensure acceptance. Still BLM focused anger at the overuse of their hashtag, not the actual problems of people dying in cold blood.
Many more police officers of all races have been injured, shot and several killed during the violence. Americans are appalled. Violence IS the problem.
Almost everything in the mainstream media (MSM) has become sensationalism writ large. When clickbait driven advertising revenues are at stake and an opportunity to knock off the very head that fuels their derangement, objectivity be damned.
Peaceful demonstrations to raise awareness about corrupt cops and the problems created by centuries of systemic racism are enshrined in the constitution. Trump openly stated he wants to protect 1A. Yet CNN’s Don Lemon had the nerve to call Trump’s actions the path to a “dictatorship.” His colleagues on the scene spoke of “mostly peaceful protests” as one stood in front of a building which was engulfed in 40ft high flames and another dodging bottles hurled at him.
The MSM went out of its way to talk about peaceful demonstrators being brutally suppressed by vindictive law enforcement officers. Innocent protestors have become unfortunate collateral damage in too many cases, mostly due to the proximity of the rioters to them.
Perhaps keyboard warriors might propose what the police should do in order to maintain order? Should law enforcement ask each protestor if they intend to commit acts of theft, violence or assault? It is just not an option when rioters are exacerbating the protestors’ suffering in the same areas. The rioters couldn’t give a damn about George Floyd. That is self-evident.
Think through the logic of those who have spent a lifetime building a business. If Trump says he wants to overwhelm vandals who have no qualms destroying their innocent livelihoods with a bigger show of force where do you think the public sympathy will lie? The promise to follow up with harsh sentencing via the brainless uploading of their crimes to social media feeds will only win more support,
Then we had sanctimonious celebrities spewing hypocrisy behind gated mansions with armed rent-a-cops who would shoot rioters on a whim if they were threatened. Hollywood only proved Ricky Gervais 100% correct.
The Left has demanded Trump reason with the rioters. How would appeasement tactics work with a group who utterly despise him? Had he played defence it would have given the mob a free license to push the crisis into overdrive which is exactly what they crave. After all, the ends justify the means.
The media relished the chance to tag Trump as a coward, claiming he had fled to his bunker. Such calls are made solely at the discretion of the Secret Service, the people paid to protect him. This is exactly why he staged the walk across Lafayette Square ahead of his security team and pose in front of St. Johns Church to debunk that narrative.
Yet journalists devoted more outrage over this action to clear a path to the house of worship than the very acts of the rioters who unsuccessfully tried to burn it to the ground a day earlier. Priorities.
The media repeatedly pushed lies about tear gas being used on those peaceful protestors outside 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Never mind that the US Park Police went on record to deny that accusations and state they had been attacked with projectiles “including bricks, frozen water bottles and caustic liquids” and “found caches of glass bottles, baseball bats and metal poles hidden along the street.” Must be the same peaceful protestors CNN has talked about.
Trump has only one real option – play offense. Which he is doing. Most Americans want an end to seeing footage of police in Buffalo being callously run down by speeding rioters or other cops being shot and filmed as they bleed out. They want law and order restored and the longer it goes the more angry they will get at authorities sitting doing nothing when they were only too happy to issue citations for violating stay at home orders.
Yet it doesn’t matter what Trump does. Even if he delivered the very script the MSM wrote for him, they’d find fault.
We could go on and on.
We should all condemn all violence and vigorously defend the right to free speech. What we are seeing is activists pushing for more of the former and less of the latter. That should tell us much.
We think these riots have solidified Trump’s chances for re-election. Fewer Americans want to be associated with groups that openly embrace thuggery and looting as fair game.
Lived experience through the past two weeks of violence and the past three months of lockdown are enough evidence to prove that Americans are growing tired of anarchy and totalitarianism. There is only one candidate who openly stands against it – Trump.
Two other things we’ve learnt.
The picture at the top depicts yet more sanctimonious hijacking of the George Floyd tragedy by protestors in Sydney (and many other countries). Despite facts borne out of a Royal Commission that aboriginal deaths in custody were no different to any other demographic, woke mobs think killing cops is something to boast about.
The only other thing we’ve learnt is that ignoring social distancing doesn’t seem to be a problem either.
Let’s hope this senseless violence is quelled and cooler heads prevail.
Yesterday we watched the Netflix docu-series, ‘Tiger King‘ which runs through the five years in the lead up to zoo-keeper Joe Exotic’s 22-yr conviction for murder-for-hire.
In a word – mind-blowing. The production is outstanding. You’d never believe that you could watch seven 45-minute episodes of this saga. Believe me, you can!
It is an eye-opener into the sordid pits of the human mind. To see how a group of misfits with literally no other choices in life become locked into an ecosystem which is so awful to them yet they manage to pledge a strong sense of loyalty to the Tiger King.
At the top of the tree, the politics of control come into play resulting from power shifts that spawn out of poor ego-centric driven management decisions. This created almost comical incidents of multiple-felons demanding ethical behaviour and strict governance.
Note that Joe Exotic ran in the 2016 presidential election. He managed 872 votes in Colorado placing him 11th out of 23 candidates. After missing out he ran for the Governor of Oklahoma. Unfortunately, he missed out on the Libertarian ticket with 669 votes or 18% of that primary.
In a nutshell, Tiger King encapsulates exotic animals, cults, guns, explosives, murder, felons, criminals, disappearances, sex, prostitution, polygamy, brainwashing, faith, amputations, guns-for-hire, incomplete police investigations, LGBT rednecks, employer coerced breast implants, arson, theft, embezzlement, political ambitions, social media, copyright infringement, lawyers, court cases, punitive damages and Walmart. Seeing is believing. Be warned – there is zero political correctness.
As someone from my former university best put it,
“If you thought you had seen everything, get ready to understand that you are still wading in the kiddie pool.”
God Bless America!
You have to hand it to Democratic lawmakers who get triggered over anything. When collusion and impeachment failed domestically, why not call upon The Hague for charges of crimes against humanity? Hmmm.
Never mind that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was encouraging San Franciscans to “come to Chinatown and join” crowds at a parade in late February. Forget the Democratic NYC Health Commissioner Oxiris Barbot downplaying the health warnings by telling the residents to immerse themselves in Lunar New Year festivities because stigmatization is a far bigger threat to people than a pesky virus.
Guess who is now telling people to stay at home? Yep, you guessed it – Oxiris Barbot. Even though she retweeted someone’s praise of her status as the first Latino female to occupy the post after it had all gone pear-shaped! If only one’s abilities were seen as more important than their identity…NYers would have been happier with an old white guy provided his medical advice kept the city from holding the highest infection rates.
Never mind that The Hill had criticized Trump’s travel ban on Feb 7th as unnecessary, parroting none other WHO, to then write on April 5th that he hadn’t done enough to block travel into the US. Which is it? The NY Times was happy to run a story on Feb 24th saying Trump’s travel ban was more an “emotional or political reaction.”
Do Democratic House representatives hold such little faith in the domestic judiciary that Trump needs to be tried in an international court over supposed domestic crimes against innocent civilians? It won’t be long before Nancy Pelosi launches another impeachment trial over coronavirus. We encourage her to do it for the sake of revealing just whether she has any ties to America.
Rep Tavia Galonski’s tweet came shortly after Trump’s media briefing in which he once again spoke of hydroxychloroquine sulfate, a drug which he has previously reported has shown promise as a means of treating COVID-19.
How is it that the mainstream media outlets backflipped on their initial criticism on hydroxychloroquine to acknowledging its potential as reported by the medical profession to flip back to “irresponsibility” again. No country has a silver bullet and in such circumstances
Rep Galonski may have a case if the state was force-feeding strapped down patients against their will. The FDA says otherwise.
“On March 28, 2020, the FDA issued an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) to allow hydroxychloroquine sulfate and chloroquine phosphate products donated to the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) to be distributed and used for certain hospitalized patients with COVID-19. These drugs will be distributed from the SNS to states for doctors to prescribe to adolescent and adult patients hospitalized with COVID-19, as appropriate, when a clinical trial is not available or feasible. The EUA requires that fact sheets that provide important information about using chloroquine phosphate and hydroxychloroquine sulfate in treating COVID-19 be made available to health care providers and patients, including the known risks and drug interactions. The SNS, managed by ASPR, will work with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to ship donated doses to states.”
The FDA’s latest fact sheet on hydroxychloroquine is here.
To be honest, who needs the FDA when we can rely on the tweets from a NY Times best-selling author with a law degree, Kurt Eichmann, who proposed 11 questions the White House press corps should ask of Trump with respect to hydroxychloroquine.
1. What dosage should people take?
2. How long should people take it?
3. What studies are you relying on for dosage and time?
3. Are you saying this is prophylactic or post-diagnosis?…(while he won’t know what the last question means if he says anything close to prophylactic)
5. How does hydroxychloroquine prevent viral infection?
6. Since hydroxychloroquine is an immunosuppressant, how isn’t there a risk that it will *increase* the risk of infection?
7. What studies have you reviewed showing it has a preventative effect because I can’t find any. (they don’t exist.)
(If he says for treatment…)
8. At what stage of infection should people take the medicine?
9. What should people with lupus and other autoimmune diseases do to find their medication, since your recommendations have led to a national shortage of hydroxychloroquine?
10. Will the government subsidize lupus & rheumatoid arthritis patients, given the price-gouging happening with these drugs?
11. Are you concerned about lupus and autoimmune patients who can’t find their medication refusing to vote for you because they’re now in pain?
As with any drug, a doctor prescribes medication based on the severity of illness and a whole range of other factors – size, age, gender. Trying to get Trump to answer a series of “gotcha” questions in the hope he bungles some of them just smacks of how little integrity there is in journalism. If Trump told journalists that drinking Drano was great for fixing stomach ulcers, would they believe him? Wouldn’t readers prefer medical opinion?
Let’s deal with the facts.
Hydroxychloroquine sulphate is an FDA approved drug dating back to April 1955. It is best known under the brand name of Plaquenil. There are generic manufacturers such as Teva and Mylan are already making the drug. In the US, it is strictly prescription-only medication. It has been approved to treat malaria
The 65-year-old Plaquenil and its 25-yo generic brothers haven’t been approved for the application of COVID19, which, as we know, in and of itself is a brand new strain of pathogen. So the “drug” has been approved but the application has not.
It is worth noting that it takes on average 12 years and over US$350 million to get a new drug from the laboratory onto the pharmacy shelf. At the company level, it undergoes around three and a half years of laboratory testing, before an application is made to the U.S. FDA to begin the testing on humans. Only 1 in 1000 compounds that enter lab testing will ever make it to the human testing stage.
Which is exactly why the FDA stated in its release late last month that there isn’t enough hard data due to a lack of clinical trials. Stands to reason that a drug we’re trying to find a cure for hasn’t a cure.
The FDA Accelerated Approval pathway was introduced in 1992 so that drugs to treat life-threatening diseases could be brought to market to make a significant impact on the course of diseases. For example, many antiretroviral drugs used to treat HIV/AIDS entered the market via accelerated approval, and subsequently altered the treatment paradigm.
Clearly, there has been no chance to conduct clinical trials on Plaquenil on COVID19 to get official FDA approval. The side effects of Plaquenil, when taken for malaria, are well known with 65 years of data. It is a question of whether the impact of the drug causes other side effects when used to treat COVID19. Hence why the FDA is trying to ensure that people are aware of the risks if they elect to take it.
Yes, the president has a habit of saying unnecessary things. He can be unpresidential at times. We have never hidden that.
However, at what point is Trump deserved of standing trial in The Hague given the timeline of events and an insane liberal media? Perhaps President Xi of China would be a more worthy respondent in the International Criminal Court for the cover-up which led to the outbreak in the first place.
Before the petrol head in CM inhales the fumes of perfectly combusted fossil fuels of 300hp MotoGP bikes at 19,000rpm, CM is enjoying a rare sunny day on Phillip Island.
Could this be an indicator of the population density of the People’s’ Republic of Victoria when it goes 100% renewable energy?
The loony left has really lost the plot. Now it’s the Animal Rebellion (AR) which is really just an activist group spin off of the Extinction Rebellion (XR) for vegans. At states,:
“We believe in a world where all individuals of all species can flourish, free from exploitation and the worst threats of the climate emergency, where we work consciously to ensure no being is seen as a commodity. As such, we believe we need a political system rooted in collective decision-making made with and alongside our multispecies kin, where creativity and compassion are prioritized, and where the diversity of gifts among all species are recognized and celebrated.”
There we have it. Just like XR it is all about central control and no doubt self selected “collective decision making.” Without question the lunatics that AR and XR want to appoint to these councils don’t believe in democracy or anything other than exerting their will on others.
AR state openly it wishes to
“In partnership with Extinction Rebellion, Animal Rebellion will mobilise 10,000 animal advocates for a two-week Rebellion in London, beginning October 7th...”
Then the truth really comes comes out:
“Government must tell the truth by declaring a climate and ecological emergency, working with other institutions to communicate the urgency for change.” Animal Rebellion understands this demand will not be met unless telling the truth includes the government declaring that the industries of animal farming and fishing are leading contributors to climate breakdown and ecosystem collapse, and communicating the urgent need to transition to a sustainable and just plant-based food system, alongside other key issues.
Government must act now to halt biodiversity loss and reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2025. Animal Rebellion understands this demand will not be met unless government action includes ending the industries of animal farming and fishing and leading a transition to a sustainable and just plant-based food system, alongside other important measures.
Government must create and be led by the decisions of a Citizens’ Assembly on climate and ecological justice.Animal Rebellion understands this demand will not be met unless the Citizens Assembly has the mandate to discuss and power to legislate for the transition to a sustainable and just plant-based food system alongside other key topics.
So never mind the tens of thousands of farmers, fishers and restaurants that will be put out of business if these fools ever got their way.”
The sad thing is they truly believe in this rubbish as if it is normal.
CM implores all readers to have a steak dinner tonight and tell these ARseholes that their veganism is a choice for them.
These cultural Marxists need to learn about democracy. If they want these changes then an election is the best way to achieve it.
While no one can doubt that Trump polarizes opinion, do his detractors honestly think they will win the debate by mowing a giant phallus into a lawn? Will this attempt to (literally) take the moral low ground somehow swing those who hold different opinions?
If the dictator moniker were true he would be the world’s most incompetent executor of such an office. Sadly Trump has between 1.5 and 5.5 years (likely the latter) to remain as DOTUS. Instead of 99% of the population voting for him like a Xi Jinping, Kim Jong-un or Hitler, Trump will likely garner around half. If Americans truly wanted a real dictator they would be better off voting for someone who could get 99%. Sadly democracies don’t operate like that.
The Queen, who long remembers the 80 year relationship which preserved her monarchy, knows that after Trump leaves office, the UK will still continue to have a strong bond with America. Her Majesty won’t resort to petty snubs of its head of state because she feels the need to kowtow to the intolerant mindsets of a few.
Will Americans want to see politicians like Shadow Foreign Secretary Emily Thornberry show such conditional support for American democracy? Did she call for protests when the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia visited? A man with pretty questionable actions regarding journalists in embassies. No she did not.
There are far more effective ways to show courtesy to visiting dignitaries. As CM mentioned yesterday, Trump’s tweets are unstatesmanlike. It doesn’t make Thornberry or Khan’s any better.
Perhaps the Queen is sending the world a message about “the long game.” She probably knows a thing or two about diplomacy as the world’s longest serving monarch. Her state dinner invitation list is the perfect representation of who she feels needs prioritization. What an embarrassment that the UK government did not extend the invite in the first place.
God save our Queen!
