Denzel Washington has a message for The Atlantic

It appears that the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, Jeffery Goldberg, has admitted the story about Trump calling fallen soldiers “suckers and losers” could well be false.

Recall that The Atlantic column started off with a claim that Trump did not want to visit the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris in 2018, because “his hair would become disheveled in the rain” and that “he did not believe it important to honor American war dead.

When Goldberg was presented with an excerpt from John Bolton’s book which details how the weather was the cause for cancellation of the visit to the cemetery, not a decision over his hair, Goldberg conceded, “I’m sure all of those things are true.”

True to form, he still backed his article and the anonymous sources. Deny, deny, deflect.

Who to believe? Recall The Atlantic’s Trump Derangement Syndrome is so acute one journalist has called to end the Nobel peace prize now that Trump is in the running.

Journalistic integrity will only return when media outlets love America more than they hate Trump.
