Good way to end a bad year

As motorcyclists, we are biased. Local Sydney brewery, Young Henrys, has made ‘Motorcycle Oil‘ which tastes somewhere between a Guinness and Kilkenny. Definitely worth a try.

Maybe a 5W40 in viscosity

How will NYC DA view rape in broad daylight?

At what point does society stop functioning? Where determining between who is the victim and then who is the perpetrator becomes back to front.

This is what defunding the police assists. While the NYC mayor was only too eager to deploy 27 officers to guard the BLM mural outside of Trump Tower, should we be surprised to see a leap in crime with such a misallocation of resources?

In broad daylight, on a NY subway platform, the transit arm of the NYPD were unable to stop a thug who attempted to rape a woman. Presumably, discretion is no longer required in de Blasio’s NYC. The criminals clearly don’t fear the new normal of policing.

Are bystanders now too worried to physically intervene for fear they might be incriminated for being decent human beings? Maybe in de Blasio’s whacky world, citizens are more at risk of being charged with assault for taking out such human garbage?

Truth stranger than fiction?

The latest noises emanating from the halls of some DA offices give some cause for concern. Costa County District Attorney Diana Becton has said that the police should consider whether looters needed those stolen goods before charging them. Presumably a 60′ flat panel TV is an inalienable right. Although those that decade a BLM mural are charged with a ‘hate crime..’

Presumably attempted rape may be forgiven if an activist DA can link it to systemic racism or decades of oppression? How many times in recent months have criminals – with records as long as the River Nile – been deified? One was buried in a gold casket and a university considered naming a scholarship after one of these career criminals. By that logic, Ted Bundy should have a memorial building dedicated to psychiatry named after him.

Sports stars are taking knees, striking and cloaking themselves in BLM messaging while the leagues gladly pick on players who stray from script.

They’re standing up for people that have committed sexual assault, child abuse, domestic violence, drug offences, firearm offences, trespassing, outstanding warrants and holding guns to the belly of a pregnant woman. When they disobey orders from the police and face the obvious consequences, woke politicians waste no time siding with the criminals and activist DAs are quick to tamper with evidence to create narratives.

Instead of sticking up for minorities, why not just stand up for what is right, regardless of melanin.

Dallas Stars CEO admits the NHL team is losing fans

Dallas Stars CEO Brad Alberts has said the NHL team is losing season customers due to the pre-game BLM protests but “stands by our organization’s commitment and support our players 100% to express their views.

What these multi-millionaire sports stars fail to grasp is that their homes and neighbourhoods aren’t being destroyed. So the last thing their (former) fans – who drive past smouldering building shells where police precincts once stood or plinths with no statues atop – need is a lecture.

Fans want to watch sports to distract them from the toils and stresses of life. Not to have it thrust in their face before a whistle has been blown. The irony is that the NHL had avoided woke displays of social justice and ratings were rising as a result. Perhaps they’d drawn eyeballs from the weaker viewing numbers in NBA, MLB and NFL. Instead of heeding common sense, the NHL followed suit and have shot themselves in the foot.

The leagues and teams are well within their rights to push politics in sports but we will have no sympathy when fans abandon them. Just like any business. To risk alienating core customers through badgering is never a smart move. Did we need Gillette to demand men check their toxic masculinity? Do we need Nike to serve up messages using players who embody some of the worst aspects of team and sportsmanship?

What we don’t quite understand is why the leagues are so eager to push causes where the people they name were hardly role models in society before they became known? Drug abuse, domestic violence, armed assault, battery, sexual assault, trespassing, outstanding warrants and resisting arrest.

To top it off, the player strikes just add to the patronizing behaviour of these well-paid celebrities. To strike when fans are turning off in droves is a bit like sending emails to an ex-girlfriend after she dumped you. You might claim she is nothing without you but at some point, you realize that all of that correspondence has been directed to her junk folder.

Get woke, go broke.

Cops need to consider whether looters “needed” goods before charging them

Costa County District Attorney Diana Becton has said that the police should consider whether looters needed those stolen goods before charging them. These Democrats are seriously deranged.

Yes, this is the same California DA who charged two people with a ‘hate crime’ for defacing a BLM mural. Her release noted “defacing” with “black paint” related to “systemic racism.

Yet another activist member of a judiciary.

Multiple Democrat mayors in Minnesota endorse Trump

Virginia Mayor Larry Cuffe, Chisholm Mayor John Champa, Ely Mayor Chuck Novak, Two Harbors Mayor Chris Swanson, Eveleth Mayor Robert Vlaisavljevich and Babbitt Mayor Andrea Zupancich, all from Minnesota, signed the following letter:

Like many in our region, we have voted for Democrats over many decades. We have watched as our constituents’ jobs left not only the Iron Range, but our country. By putting tariffs on our products and supporting bad trade deals, politicians like Joe Biden did nothing to help the working class. We lost thousands of jobs, and generations of young people have left the Iron Range in order to provide for their families with good-paying jobs elsewhere. Today, we don’t recognize the Democratic Party. It has been moved so far to the left it can no longer claim to be advocates of the working class. The hard-working Minnesotans that built their lives and supported their families here on the Range have been abandoned by radical Democrats. We didn’t choose to leave the Democratic Party, the party left us.

One Democrat mayor endorsing Trump might be seen as an aberration. Six Democrat mayors from one state is significant.

BLM asks Hollywood to strike over Jacob Blake

BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors has requested that Hollywood join the strikes surrounding the police shooting of Jacob Blake. She said,

I think it’s time for talent, writers, executives, the guild and SAG to show up for Black lives as well…Join this strike. Now is the time and our movement is really looking to unions to step in in a particular way and say ‘We’re going to hold back on allowing for the exploitation and the degradation of Black communities to continue under our watch.’ I think Hollywood can really show up in this moment.

Who better to have join a cause than the world’s biggest hypocrites? The very people who turned a blind eye to the antics of Harvey Weinstein for the betterment of their own careers over decades. The same people who lectured mothers who drive their kids to sports practice in second-hand SUVs over climate change before they headed to their third homes via private jet. The same people who went vegan at the awards ceremony for sustainability.

The irony is that Cullors somehow believes that mainstream Americans will get chills down their spines if Hollywood makes threats to strike and cringeworthy videos from their gated 20 bedroom mansions. Has she not seen the audience figures or MLB, NBA, NFL, NLS etc?

Let’s not forget who Jacob Blake is. A man who had an outstanding arrest warrant for violating a restraining order stemming from an alleged sexual assault.

The Kenosha police union claimed that Blake was armed with a knife at the time of the shooting — and had put one cop in a headlock and shrugged off two Taser attempts while resisting arrest.

Prior to this warrant, Blake was charged with brandishing a firearm in a bar while drunk, concealed carry of a firearm in a public building, battery, assault and domestic violence.

No matter one’s view on the use of ‘excessive force’ or not, it is not hard to imagine that Blake wouldn’t have been shot or end up paralyzed if he’d obeyed the instructions of the police. Period.

Still it wouldn’t surprise us if Hollywood rushes to the defence of such an outstanding member of society. It would be utterly consistent with all of the other hypocrisy and out-of-touch actions that define so many of them.

As for BLM, the organization’s reprehensible double standards are self-evident. When children were being murdered in Chicago, Cullors was utterly silent.

Virginia Democrats declare open season on public servants with new legislation

Virginia Senate Democrats have passed a bill, Bill 5302, reclassifying the assault of a law enforcement officer as a misdemeanor.

In summary,

[The bill] eliminates the mandatory minimum 6-month term of confinement for an assault and battery committed against a judge; magistrate; law-enforcement officer; correctional officer; person directly involved in the care, treatment, or supervision of inmates; firefighter; or volunteer firefighter or any emergency medical services personnel and provides that such crime can no longer be committed as a simple assault and must result in a bodily injury.”

So do Democrats want to declare open season on public servants? Should EMTs trying to save lives or fire-fighters attempting to protect the community be subject to thuggery without legal protection too?

Is it any wonder the police unions are flocking to endorse Trump. We imagine the fireys and ambos aren’t far behind.

We remind Nancy Pelosi about Trump’s “truth, evidence, data & facts”

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi made a suggestion yesterday that there shouldn’t be any presidential debates. She argued that Trump doesn’t deserve it due to his inability to associate with “truth, evidence, data and facts.

We remind Pelosi of the time she ripped Trump’s SOTU speech which actually happened to be full of truth, evidence, data and facts. You can find that here.

Judging by her actions, should we believe “there is no such thing as eternal animosity.”

She sure has a strange way of showing it.

The only truth Pelosi spoke was that she “didn’t need lessons in dignity from the president.” She has that base well and truly covered.

The only truth in Pelosi is her denial.
