Portland City Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty turned on the Portland Police blaming its officers for sending in saboteurs to start fires and then falsely accuse peaceful protestors of arson. She has since walked back those remarks justifying it as,
“Today I let my emotions get the most of me during council and the comment I made to the press. But I’m angry, frustrated, and horrified by what has happened these past 50 days.”
Isn’t it amazing that absolutely no footage has surfaced of such crimes being committed? Especially in a world where everyone is a roving reporter. Portland Police have even invited council members to join them on the front lines to see for themselves. None have taken up the offer.
Hardesty switched her accusation to Democrat Mayor Ted Wheeler for his spineless inaction to prevent federal government officers targeting Portland because it is a sanctuary city.
How do these people get elected? As Daryl Turner, president of the Portland Police Association said,
“Politicians bent on power, perpetuating misinformation and untruths, are just as guilty of using their privilege to hijack this movement as the rioters who are committing violent acts, burning, and looting,”
You’ll never guess the party affiliation of Hardesty!
