Mayor Paul Bodeur has tweeted out an apology to residents in Melrose, Massachusetts for a police officer who wrote “All Lives Matter” on a traffic sign.
Melrose Police Chief Michael L. Lyle, said he will be investigating the action. His public statement is so pathetic. Do residents want time wasted on rubbish like this? Demanding signs get approved by the boss?
It is amazing that Democrat mayors are actually wasting time over something so trivial and making grandiose apologies to residents who probably didn’t pay it any mind, much less took any offence, while launching needless investigations into hate speech to pillory an officer who only sought “inclusion”. Which begs the question why traffic signs are being used for propaganda instead of road safety?
Welcome to 2020 and the Democratic Party platform – segregation. Good to see it is staying true to its roots that are wedded in identity politics. Perhaps the mayor should suggest the police chief put up “ACAB – All Cops Are Bad” to be in step with the cancel culture and appease the mob to promote progressivism.
It is really getting too stupid. Perhaps the sign should read, “Mayor, drink cement and harden up!” We’re sure Melrose residents would see much more value in that.
