The New York Times reported that Powderhorn Park, Minneapolis residents – encouraged by woke white women – declared their town a “safe zone” for the underprivileged.
The residents were requested not to call the police if they felt threatened or if their property was damaged in some sort of deranged pact. Naturally they were asked to acknowledge that any crimes were a side effect of white privilege.
As a result 300 homeless took advantage of their generosity and descended on the park in 200 tents. With them, followed drug dealers and other crime to the area posing a moral dilemma for these self-loathing liberals.
One of the mothers behind the movement admitted that she no longer feels the area is safe for her young kids to play outside.
Unfortunately one resident, Mitchell Erickson, broke the pact by calling the police after some youths held him at gunpoint demanding he hand over his car keys. Days later he felt regret when he said,
“Been thinking more about it…I regret calling the police. It was my instinct but I wish it hadn’t been. I put those boys in danger of death by calling the cops.”
Maybe if they hadn’t pointed a gun at him and attempted to steal his car that their lives wouldn’t have been in danger at all?
One has to wonder how much more of this self-inflicted madness will continue? If they were to properly assuage all white guilt they’d hand over the title deeds to their properties to the underprivileged and move into the tents outside.
