Energy Assistance Program proves dud energy policy in first place

Australia is home to the cheapest energy sources in the world yet we have the highest electricity prices. For the Coalition to introduce the Energy Assistance Programmers (EAP) ahead of the election says how ridiculously poor the policies surrounding energy are to have to introduce it in the first place. No matter what Australia does on the renewables front our impact on global temperatures on a worst case basis are near as makes no difference zero by 2100.

Why do we continue to hobble ourselves by making our industries less competitive and saddle consumers with nose bleed electricity? SA & Vic already give us the beta testing grounds to prove that renewables are unreliable, inefficient and impractical. The idea they are cheaper than baseload is utter rubbish given at their best, renewables operate at 20-25% of stated capacity generation. Which means they’re 4-5x more expensive per output claimed.

In any event, providing people with power credits just shows how ideology has overridden sensible economics. Look forward to higher energy bills and buyer’s remorse if energy policy seeks to create more of the very shortcomings that have made themselves so abundantly clear. This is willfully irresponsible.

Don’t do the crime if you don’t wanna pay $130k overtime

Good news. The City of Chicago sent the US$130,000 worth of overtime spent by the Chicago Police Department to investigate the hoax to Jussie Smollett giving him one week to pay or risk further legal action. Is it the job of the Chicago taxpayers to fund Jussie’s DIY hate crime hoax career enhancement and self promotion program? What utter contempt shown by Smollett’s representatives to demand that the Mayor & Chicago Police Department apologise for “dragging an innocent man’s name through the mud.” Thankfully the FOIA request to the CPD meant they could release all of the documents before the suppression order was put in place. Just desserts.

President Trump is absolutely correct to get the FBI & DOJ involved in this case to look at how such a ridiculous outcome could ever come to be. How does a First Assistant State Attorney with 30 years in the role openly say Smollett was guilty then drop all 16 felony charges? Now his excuse is that the SA office is more focused on combating violent crimes.

Farage: “do you really want me back here?”

Brilliant speech as usual. How on cue were the EU incumbents ready to jeer his remark of “do you really want me back here?” on the basis he recontests the EU elections if the Brexit delay is extended. Of interest note that the EU has published a “No Deal” scenario which does not seek to sink Britain.

As a message to the spineless politicians in Westminster, just get on with what you’ve been instructed to do rather than tell us that you know better. I’ve tried this with my wife and it works wonders.

On a 2nd referendum CM believes the Brits would vote Leave by a bigger margin.

Jim Jefferies – what goes around comes around

Aussie comedian Jim Jefferies shot to stardom on the back of his “gun control’ skit post the Parkland school shooting last year. He now has a regular slot on US TV.

Comedy cuts across almost limitless bounds. It triggers some and makes others convulse with laughter. We should accept that. To give Jefferies his due, he can be very funny. Usually vulgar but pointed.

However Jefferies deliberate misrepresentation of Jewish vlogger, Avi Yemini, was reprehensible. Yemini’s responses were edited and cut in ways to answer totally different questions that were asked in an attempt to smear him. It was unethical on every level.

The irony of the “hidden recording” taken by Yemini was that Jeffries himself was exposed for the very anti-Islamic remarks he accused his guest of. He even scribbled a mock drawing of Mohammed and agreed with much of what he criticized Yemini for. Hypocrite. How ironic that the comedian who thought he was interviewing a total dummy now looks the fool.

Regardless of whether one likes Yemini or who he represents or not, it does not give anyone, even a comedian, the right to smear in such a duplicitous and sanctimonious manner. Yemini warned Jefferies he may invite death threats for his blasphemous actions.

Serves him right. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

Chicago PD gets its sweet revenge on Smollett

Full credit to the Chicago Police Department for releasing the truth on Jussie Smollett before the Cook County judge was able to close the case, citing a FOIA request. Where on earth did the State Attorney’s office think justice was served when they believed Smollett was guilty but dropped all 16 felony charges anyway? How could anyone buy the First Assistant SA saying publicly that Smollett was not exonerated when his slate has been wiped clean? How ironic that Michelle Obama’s former chief-of-staff called the State Attorney Kim Foxx to discuss the concern of the Smollett family. Foxx may have recused herself on conflict of interest grounds, however the end result certainly gives rise to suspicions around calling in favours. How did a botched hoax become deserved of a suppression order?

If you want the truth behind the innocent Smollett, the CPD has provided their hard work in the following two files.

Part 1

Part 2

One of the funniest areas surrounds the Nigerians’ car breaking down after the purchase of the DIY hate crime kit and having to push it out of the parking lot.

Maybe Subway should dedicate some sandwiches to Smollett – Foot long Pinocchio, Jussie’s Jerk Chicken, Carved Turkey and Bleach…#Mugger hat meatball. How well do these sandwiches have to be prepared to escape a staged attack unscathed?

Project Veritas uncovers the WTF at CNN

Project Veritas has uncovered the shameless editorial procedures at CNN. Then the likes of Jim Acosta and Don Lemon wonder why they’re accused of fake news when the producers admit that the Russia collusion newsflow was “mostly bullsh1t.” Even CNN’s CEO said that they report on the facts as they know them because they’re not investigators. I guess that makes it ok then…

Superintendent smashes secrecy surrounding Smollett settlement

What the Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson said in this video is 100% correct. He said, “They wanted their day in court with TV cameras so America could know the truth. But no, they chose to hide behind secrecy and broker a deal to circumvent the judicial system.” Mayor Emanuel was also front and centre on Smollett’s unfair dragging of Chicago’s reputation through the mud and the damage his hoax will have against those who have real hate crime claims in future. Smollett has his slate wiped clean.

This is the perfect example of why identity politics is so poisonous. Here was a man potentially willing to make a claim against two innocent white people and jail them for up to 20 years for hate crimes not committed just to bump his salary and smear 63mn Trump supporters at the same time.  He still claims innocence! No morals, no ethics and in Emanuel’s words “is there no decency in this man?

Claims are being made by the media that George Soros donated $408,000 to a super PAC that supported Cook County State Attorney (SA) Kim Foxx’s campaign. While Foxx recused herself on conflict of interest grounds, the First Assistant SA Joseph Magats, who has served in the SA office for three decades, saidThe bottom line is, we stand behind the investigation, we stand behind the decision to charge him…The fact that Smollett feels that we have exonerated him, we have not. I can’t make it any clearer than that. So how does that weigh up to the dismissal of 16 felony charges? Smollett served two days of community service which can be seen here.

To think of the disrespect shown to the excellent investigative work and evidence filed by the police. Do we believe Jussie’s comments on the verdict, “I have been truthful and consistent on every level since day one. I would not be my mother’s son if I was capable of one drop of what I’ve been accused of”? What a fine bit of acting.

So much for dignity and respect of the rule of law to Americans. What a farce.

The Mueller Madness form guide

The NY Post put forward this interesting schematic to let people vote for who they think was the most worthy contender for frothing at the mouth over the Mueller investigation. Such a strong field. From MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow welling up on hearing the news of the president’s exoneration to Kathy Griffin tweeting furiously about his collusion. The main networks dedicated 2,300 minutes of coverage on this investigation over 2 years with 90% negative coverage. So much for objective journalism.

In having to accept the bitter taste of defeat, the apologies from the mainstream media have not been forthcoming. According to CNN’s Brain Stelter, “you’re going to hear from the right that the press just made all this up to take down President Trump…the press was just following a trail Trump created“. Perhaps they might ponder who was behind these accusations. Maybe liberals will call for an investigation into Bob Mueller because they didn’t like the result of his investigation?

When will the Democrats finally focus on policy to win an argument instead of allowing the media to handhold them through a two year mental disorder? Trump Derangement Syndrome should be added to the next DSM volume. It is really that insane.

The victim who deserves dignity and respect?

What a farce. Jussie Smollett, the Empire actor who staged his own ‘homophobic and racist’ hate crime by falsely accusing MAGA hat wearing whites in ski masks, has had all 16 felony charges dropped. The state attorney’s office said that his volunteer service in the community and willingness to forfeit his $10,000 bond to the city was behind the decision.

Smollett’s lawyer said,

This entire situation is a reminder that there should never be an attempt to prove a case in the court of public opinion…That is wrong. It is a reminder that a victim, in this case Jussie, deserves dignity and respect. Dismissal of charges against the victim in this case was the only just result…Jussie is relieved to have this situation behind him and is very much looking forward to getting back to focusing on his family, friends and career.”

A victim? Dignity? Respect? Perhaps if Jussie believed in extolling those same virtues he wouldn’t have wound up in court.

Let’s see how quickly Hollywood and the left re-embrace him as a champion of human rights. Afterall he’s not guilty. He was pushed into this and attacks of the kind Smollett faked continue to surge. How inconvenient that the FBI reports anti-Black hate crimes have more than halved since 1996. Anti-LGBT hate crimes in absolute terms have fallen from a peak of 1,439 cases in 1998 to 1,130 in 2017.
